On 8th December 2022, the Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) team from Malaysia organised a special Safety Day event aimed at promoting the integration of sound EHS practices into its day-to-day business operations.
More than eighty of its associates attended the event which took place in the Tremco CPG Malaysia compound. The event started off with a welcome speech by the Area Director of Southeast Asia, Jackson Kho, followed by a cake and ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the formal occasion.
To highlight the importance of health and safety in the workplace, EHS Assistant Manager Mohd. Sukri, gave an in-depth presentation about Tremco CPG’s 8 Safety Cardinal Rules. These rules are a guide for all employees when navigating daily activities at the workplace, especially those who constantly work with dangerous materials or in environments prone to safety hazards.
Following the training, games were played to reinforce the learning concepts, and prizes were awarded to the winning team members. An award ceremony was also held to recognise those who have achieved excellent EHS performance in alignment with Tremco CPG's EHS goals and initiatives.
Operations Director, Shahril Salikam, said: “As a leading manufacturing company, the health and safety of our employees are paramount, and we are committed to upholding these standards.”
He continued, “Safety Day was a timely event that not only created greater awareness for the safety rules, but also a deeper understanding of the risks and precautions of maintaining exceptional safety without exception.”
